Visit the Phare de la Coubre<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Just 10 minutes from Camping Paradis Royan<\/a>, come and admire the sublime panoramic<\/strong> view<\/strong> from the top of the 64-metre high Curve lighthouse, which can be visited from February to November! Come and immerse yourself in thehistory of this lighthouse, built in 1905<\/strong> and originally situated 2km from the shore, but as erosion continues it is now only a few hundred metres from the sea!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What’s more, it’s one of the most powerful lighthouses in France<\/strong>, with a range of over 50 km. A 300-step<\/strong> spiral<\/strong> staircase<\/strong> offers splendid panoramic views of the Gironde estuary, Cordouan lighthouse, Pointe de Grave, Gironde coast, C\u00f4te Sauvage, Arvert peninsula and, further north, Ol\u00e9ron island. A breathtaking<\/strong> panorama<\/strong> of the Gironde estuary!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 64 metres high, the lighthouse overlooks the Bay of Bonne Anse on the Atlantic coast, offering visitors a 360\u00b0 view<\/strong> of the Gironde estuary! After climbing to the top of the Phare de la Courbe<\/a>, visitors are rewarded for their efforts with a breathtaking panorama of the C\u00f4te Sauvage, the Arvert peninsula, the Ile d’Ol\u00e9ron and the Bonne Anse spit…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lighthouse and Dune Ecomuseum<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Built in 1905 and listed as a historic monument<\/strong>, La<\/strong> Coubre<\/strong> lighthouse<\/strong> is the highest lighthouse on the Charente coast, with some 300 steps<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
